BARRACKS LIFE
In
the barracks you should have personal items that appear similar to those owned
in ww2, purchased at the PX on base, or mailed from home.
BUNK must be
made when not sleeping, neat with hospital corners
COAT HANGERS should be
wood frames, with a metal hanger (rite aid, walgreens,walmart,etc)
TOWEL
should be a solid color, white, OD, tan
TOILETRIES
should be kept out of site when not in use, if you wear Class A's or shirt &
tie, you are expected to shave
NON PERIOD FOOD is kept hidden in the
barracks. You will need to use your canteen cup for soda, booze,
juice. Food is taken from wrappers before you chow on it.
AMMO
is removed from plastic storage bags and kept in mussette bags, plain paper
sacks, or ammo cans
SLEEPING BAGS and other non period bedding that may
be used during the night must be stowed in the
morning out of sight in a
barracks bag or locker.
